Rapala Original Floating Lure - The Wounded Minnow That Started It All
The Rapala Original Floating Lure remains the ultimate go-to fishing lure for freshwater and saltwater anglers worldwide. Renowned for its irresistible wounded minnow action, this classic lure can be fished in multiple ways to adapt to any fishing condition:
-
Topwater Twitching: Perfect as a surface bait to provoke explosive strikes from bass, pike, or inshore gamefish.
-
Shallow Runner Retrieve: Works well with a steady or varied retrieve for striped bass, redfish, snook, and trout.
-
Weighted Split Shot: Add a split shot to fish at medium depths while maintaining its signature action.
-
Bottom Walking: Effective when bottom-walked off a three-way swivel or bottom bouncer, targeting species holding near structure or reefs.
Constructed with premium black nickel VMC® hooks and precision hand-tuned and tank-tested by Rapala experts, the lure guarantees perfect action straight from the box. Its proven design continues to catch trophy fish across freshwater lakes, rivers, and saltwater flats, making it a must-have in every tackle box.
